Freeville Community Council

The Freeville Community Council (FCC) is a voluntary board that serves to bring the residents of Freeville together in fostering and building community. As a non-profit founded in 2003, the Council has a history of sponsoring and organizing community-led projects, programs, and social events in the village. Funded in part by grants from United Way, it has supported the Freeville Food Pantry and Summer Recreation Program and organizes a series of annual community-wide events, like the Freeville summer picnic and the Village yard sale. It also organizes invited speakers, family-friendly activities, and entertainment throughout the year based on community interest, from ice cream socials to nature walks and talks. The council is open and responsive to the ideas of village residents and is happy to partner with other organizations in the village, including the Freeville Farmers Market and the Freeville Elementary School PTA, to sponsor local events.
